On June 16, 2024, 59-year-old Barry Vierra was fatally shot in the 200 block of Linden Street in Reno, Nevada. Officers from the Reno Police Department responded to reports of gunfire around 5:30 a.m. and found Vierra and 37-year-old Michelle Berna, both suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. They were transported to Renown Regional Medical Center, where they succumbed to their injuries.
