On June 24, 2024, the life of 22-year-old Jeannette Faria-Webster was tragically cut short in a mass shooting at a North Las Vegas apartment complex. A female, Faria-Webster was one of five victims who lost their lives in the violent rampage. The Clark County coroner later confirmed that she died from a gunshot wound to the head and neck, ruling her death a homicide.
The incident unfolded at an apartment complex located at 370 Casa Norte Drive.
The suspect was identified as 47-year-old Eric Adams. According to police reports, the violence began after an argument between Adams and his ex-girlfriend. Following the dispute, Adams shot and killed his ex-girlfriend's daughter, 24-year-old Kayla Harris, and her girlfriend, Jeannette Faria-Webster, in a downstairs apartment.
After killing Faria-Webster and Harris, Adams continued his deadly assault, moving to a neighboring apartment where he shot and killed three members of another family: 40-year-old Amy Damian, her 20-year-old son Christopher Damian, and 59-year-old Damiana Munoz. A 13-year-old girl was also shot and critically injured during the attack.
The day after the shooting spree, law enforcement located Adams. During a confrontation with police, Eric Adams took his own life. As the primary suspect in the multiple homicides, his death brought an end to the immediate search for a perpetrator. In the wake of the tragedy, family and friends gathered for a candlelight vigil to remember Jeannette, known affectionately as "Netty," and the other victims, as the community mourned the senseless loss of life.
