In the heart of Minneapolis, a life was tragically cut short on September 26, 2023. Curtis Leroy Johnson, a 37-year-old Black/African American man, was fatally shot in the chest behind a residence on the 2400 block of 16th Avenue South. The incident occurred around 1 p.m., and despite being rushed to Hennepin Healthcare, Johnson succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 1:41 p.m.
