In the early morning hours of July 24, 2024, a fatal encounter unfolded in a parking lot in Moorhead, Minnesota, leaving 37-year-old Franky Torres, a male construction worker, with a critical head injury from which he would not recover. Responding to a report of a shooting at approximately 3:20 a.m. in the 900 block of 18th Street South, Moorhead Police officers discovered Torres, who was immediately transported to Sanford Medical Center.
