A quiet suburban street in Blaine, Minnesota, was shattered by violence on the morning of August 13, 2024, leaving 62-year-old Timothy James Knox, a Caucasian male, dead from gunshot wounds. The tragedy unfolded just before 9 a.m. when law enforcement and first responders were dispatched to a home in the 200 block of Territorial Road NE following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered Timothy Knox outside the residence with critical injuries.
Despite immediate life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation quickly led authorities to identify a vehicle and a person of interest believed to be connected to the shooting. A short time later, officers located the suspect's vehicle near the 11900 block of 7th Street NE. Inside, they found David John Knox, 61, deceased from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The Anoka County Sheriff's Office later confirmed that the two men were brothers and that both had lived at the Territorial Road home where the initial shooting occurred.
Authorities have characterized the incident as an apparent murder-suicide, with David Knox being the sole suspect in the death of his brother, Timothy.
