On September 3, 2024, around 7 p.m., De'Jaun Marquise Michael Hall, a 24-year-old resident of Minneapolis, was fatally shot near the intersection of S. 1st Avenue and E. 19th Street, on the southern edge of downtown Minneapolis. The incident occurred in the Stevens Square neighborhood, where police responded to reports of gunfire.
