On July 28, 2023, at approximately 8:45 p.m., deputies from the Franklin County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of gunfire at 1805 John Brown Road, near Princeton, Kansas. Upon arrival, they discovered 42-year-old Nathan Daniel Boggs, of Ottawa, Kansas, suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts, Boggs was pronounced dead at the scene.
