On the evening of January 6, 2023, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, 38-year-old Eric Lamont Ricks was fatally shot. The Baton Rouge Police Department responded to a call around 7:20 p.m. in the 3100 block of Oak Crest Drive, off Greenwell Springs Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered Mr. Ricks had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
