In the city of New Orleans, on February 24, 2023, the life of Darron Anthony 'KIU' Washington Jr. was tragically cut short by gun violence. Darron was a native and resident of New Orleans. He was the loving son of Margaret Davis and Darron A. Washington Sr.
and a cherished father to his children, Daron Washington III, Allen Abdul, and Kmyra Duncan. He is also survived by his siblings, DeJuan, Daron, Devin, and Jasmine, as well as his grandparents, Brenda Davis and Shirley Mae Washington. The news of his untimely death sent ripples of grief through his community.
As of now, there has been no publicly released information regarding any suspects or arrests in connection with the shooting death of Darron Anthony 'KIU' Washington Jr. The investigation into his death remains ongoing. A Homegoing Celebration was held for him on March 4, 2023, at the New Macedonia Baptist Church in Metairie, followed by his interment at Holt Cemetery.
