Shawn Simms, a 16-year-old boy, was fatally shot on April 20, 2023, in New Orleans, Louisiana. The incident occurred in the 7000 block of Lawrence Road.
Following the homicide, an investigation was conducted by the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD). On May 10, 2023, the Violent Offender Warrant Squad (VOWS) and the United States Marshals apprehended a suspect in connection with Shawn Simms' murder.
