On June 25, 2023, an incident occurred in the 8000 block of Old Gentilly Road in New Orleans, Louisiana, resulting in the death of 84-year-old Sterling Bell. Seventh District officers of the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) responded to a call of a death and found the victim dead in his bed upon arrival.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Sterling Bell and determined the preliminary cause of death to be from gunshot-related injuries.
