Shaniqua Smith, a 24-year-old woman from New Roads, Louisiana, was fatally shot on the night of August 14, 2023. The incident occurred on Olinde Street, where Smith was found dead.
The investigation into Smith's death led police to identify Marian Williams, Smith's ex-partner, as a person of interest.
