Christopher Wilson, 22, a Black man, was caught in a burst of gunfire on the night of November 22, 2023, along the bright, busy stretch of Canal Street in New Orleans. Just before 8:00 p.m., police were called to the 2200 block, where officers found him unresponsive and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed by EMS to a local hospital, but he did not survive.
