Melvin D. Thomas, aged 26, was found dead in Miami, Florida on September 30, 2010. The homicide remains unsolved and is considered one of the many cold cases that Miami law enforcement continues to investigate. Thomas was found in his Miami neighborhood, where he was known to reside on NW 21st Avenue. Despite efforts by authorities, few leads have emerged, and no suspects have been publicly identified in relation to the crime.
