In the quiet farming community of Martinsburg, Iowa, the spring of 1962 was shattered by a tragic event that would leave a lasting scar. On the night of May 27th, 19-year-old Amos Rex McBeth, a male, was killed in a violent rampage that also claimed the lives of his father, Andrew, his mother, Dora, and two of his sisters, 19-year-old Anna and 17-year-old Donna Jean Kellogg. The family was attacked in their own home, the place that should have been their sanctuary.
