On April 13, 2024, 16-year-old Isaac Baggett was fatally shot in Bogalusa, Louisiana, during a retaliatory shooting incident. The incident occurred in the early morning hours around 2:00 am in the 500 block of Union Avenue, where Baggett and at least three other individuals were firing rifles and pistols into the home of Rekelia McGowan. McGowan and some of her children were present in the house but did not return any fire towards the perpetrators.
