In the late afternoon of May 6, 2024, a heated argument erupted at a home on Clayton Drive in Baton Rouge, forever changing the lives of one family. Shedrick Jones, a 46-year-old Black/African American man, found himself in a dispute with his 14-year-old relative. The disagreement, which began around 5:30 p.m., escalated tragically when the teenager reportedly retrieved a gun and fired, striking Jones.
