On August 4, 2024, a double shooting occurred at an apartment complex on Chad Drive in Addis, Louisiana, resulting in the death of 24-year-old Javontae Green. According to the Addis Police Department and the West Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office, two males were struck by gunfire during the incident.
