In the quiet town of Addis, Louisiana, a violent incident shattered the evening calm on Sunday, August 4, 2024. Gunfire erupted at an apartment complex on Chad Drive, resulting in the tragic death of 24-year-old Javontae Green. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered two male victims of the shooting. Green was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other man was transported to a hospital in critical condition.
