In a tragic event that unfolded in Jackson, Kentucky, 78-year-old Missouri Rosalyn Gross was found deceased in what law enforcement has described as a murder-suicide. The incident, which cut short the life of the elderly woman, also resulted in the deaths of three other individuals, including the perpetrator.
On June 16, 2023, authorities were called to a residence on Ky. 3193 in Jackson after a family member discovered an unresponsive female.
Upon their arrival, police found four deceased individuals. The investigation revealed that Ashley Little, 34, had shot and killed her 15-year-old daughter, Chloe Little, her grandmother, Missouri Gross, and another relative, 58-year-old Luther Combs. Following the killings, Ashley Little then took her own life.
Missouri Gross lived in an apartment situated above an attached garage on the same property where her granddaughter and great-granddaughter resided in a mobile home. The motive for the devastating act is still under investigation by the Kentucky State Police. An obituary for Missouri Rosalyn Gross remembers her as a retired retail worker and a long-time member of the Millers Branch Church who enjoyed Bible study and working in her flowers. The bodies of all four individuals were sent to the state medical examiner's office for autopsies. Due to the nature of the incident, with the suspect also being deceased, no arrests were made in connection with the death of Missouri Rosalyn Gross.
