On Friday, December 8, 2023, a shooting incident occurred in the Lewisburg area of Mason County, Kentucky, resulting in the death of 32-year-old Justin Mitchell and the serious injury of 45-year-old Earnest Nickell. The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. on Marshall Station Road. When authorities arrived, they found Justin Mitchell deceased at the scene, while Earnest Nickell was airlifted to the University of Cincinnati Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
