In the late summer of 2022, a dispute over money between a father and son in Lewisburg, Kentucky, escalated to a fatal conclusion, leaving one man dead and the other facing a murder charge that would later be dismissed. Richard Evans, a 37-year-old male, was shot and killed by his father, Darrell Evans, then 61, on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at his father's home. The deadly confrontation was the culmination of an argument that began outside the residence.
