In the early morning hours of Saturday, March 2, 2024, the life of 21-year-old Daryasia Wingo was tragically cut short in a double shooting in Louisville, Kentucky's Bon Air neighborhood. The incident unfolded around 7 a.m. at a residence located in the 3300 block of Noe Way. When officers from the Louisville Metro Police Department's 6th Division arrived at the scene, they discovered two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.
Daryasia Wingo, a female, was pronounced dead at the
scene by the Jefferson County Coroner's Office. A second victim, an adult male, was also found with life-threatening injuries and was immediately transported to the hospital for medical attention. The condition of the male victim has not been publicly updated.
The Louisville Metro Police Department's Homicide Unit is actively investigating the shooting.
