On May 29, 2023, Jessenia Simmons, a 45-year-old woman from New Bedford, Massachusetts, was fatally attacked and killed at the Globe Car Wash in Fall River, Massachusetts. The incident occurred in the early afternoon when Fall River police and EMS responded to a 911 call reporting gunshots fired at the car wash.
