In the early morning hours of October 16, 2024, a 911 call dispatched Fall River police to a residence on Dickinson Street, the scene of a violent incident that would end in the death of a 42-year-old White/Caucasian woman named Remy Aull. Upon their arrival at approximately 4:30 a.m., officers discovered two injured individuals. Aull had sustained a single gunshot wound to the head, while a 55-year-old man was found with multiple stab wounds to his head and neck.
Both Aull and the
unidentified man were immediately transported to local trauma centers for emergency medical care. Aull was taken to Rhode Island Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at around 10:15 p.m. that evening. The male victim was reported to be in stable condition following the attack. Friends remembered Aull, a mother of three, as a kind and caring person. She was a successful yoga and Pilates instructor, working alongside her mother at their studio in Middletown, Rhode Island.
An active and ongoing investigation into the tragic event was launched by Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney's office, in conjunction with the Fall River Police Department and Homicide Unit prosecutors. As of now, authorities have not made any arrests in connection with the case. Officials have not publicly disclosed the relationship between Remy Aull and the injured man, nor have they released any details about what may have led to the fatal altercation.
