In the summer of 2023, a violent act shattered the life of a Springfield, Massachusetts family. Felipe Alexander Dejesus, a 39-year-old Black / African American man, was fatally shot on the evening of Saturday, June 24th. The incident that claimed his life unfolded on Spring Street, a grim scene that would become the focus of a homicide investigation. Dejesus was rushed to Baystate Medical Center, but tragically, he succumbed to his injuries.
