In the late afternoon of January 31, 2024, the life of 30-year-old Nicorie Adams, a male resident of Springfield, Massachusetts, was tragically cut short. Gunfire erupted around 4:20 p.m., prompting a ShotSpotter alert on Rochelle Street. As Springfield police officers were responding to that notification, a second alert directed them to nearby Braddock Street.
