On May 5, 2023, Jared V. Wininger, a 26-year-old resident of Pendleton, Indiana, was found dead at a residence in the 5700 block of South State Road 67 in Pendleton. The Pendleton Police Department responded to a report of a person shot at the location and upon arrival, officers found Wininger deceased with gunshot wounds.
