In the summer of 2023, the life of 38-year-old Othello Harris, a Black/African American male, was cut short by gunfire in his hometown of Gary, Indiana. On July 21, 2023, Harris became a victim of a homicide, a violent end to a life that had its own significant encounters with the law.
