On August 20, 2023, a tragedy unfolded on the near east side of Indianapolis, Indiana, resulting in the untimely death of 11-year-old Jordan Lamar Robertson. The young African American boy had been visiting a friend's home, a common pastime for a child his age, when the afternoon took a devastating turn.
