On August 20, 2023, an 11-year-old boy named Jordan Robertson died from a gunshot wound in a residence on the east side of Indianapolis. The incident occurred in the 3700 block of East Market Street, near North Sherman Drive. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) officers responded to a report of a person shot at around 4 p.m. and found Jordan suffering from gunshot wounds in an upstairs room of the home.
