On Thanksgiving Day in 2023, a dispute between two men in an Indianapolis apartment building culminated in a fatal shooting. Ousman Gasama, a 34-year-old male, was found deceased, sitting upright on the entry stoop of a residence on North Shortridge Road. He had sustained gunshot wounds.
