On December 3, 2023, 18-year-old Ariel Marie Calhoun was fatally shot on the northeast side of Indianapolis. The incident occurred around 6:45 p.m. when Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) officers responded to reports of a person shot in the 7900 block of Scarborough Boulevard, near the intersection of East 75th Street and Hague Road.
