On May 20, 2024, Erika Painter, a 30-year-old resident of Centerville, Indiana, was found dead due to a gunshot wound in a rural area of Wayne County. The incident occurred in the first block of Farlow Road, east of U.S. Highway 27 and approximately five miles south of downtown Richmond, Indiana.
