On the night of August 6, 2024, the community of Rochester, Indiana, was shaken by the tragic discovery of 42-year-old female Heidi Renee Sommers Prince. Officers from the Rochester Police Department were conducting a routine welfare check on a vehicle parked directly in front of their station at 312 Main Street around 11:00 p.m. Upon approaching the car, they discovered two unresponsive individuals inside.
