In the spring of 2016, the community of Rochester, Indiana, was unsettled by the discovery of a local woman's body. Katina L. Powell, a 43-year-old female, was found deceased in a wooded area on West 9th Street on the evening of Saturday, May 7, 2016. Her death was the result of a single gunshot wound.

Fulton County Sheriff's Department detectives launched an investigation into her death. Alongside her body, investigators located a firearm. An autopsy was ordered to determine the precise ...
