On April 17, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in the Bronzeville neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois, resulting in the death of 20-year-old Isaiah Samaniuk. The incident took place in the 4900-block of South Calumet Avenue at approximately 12:10 a.m. when Samaniuk and a 22-year-old woman were victims of a carjacking attempt.
