Daquon Rice, a 26-year-old man, was fatally shot in Chicago, Illinois, on September 1, 2023. The incident occurred in the Armour Square neighborhood, approximately a block and a half south of Guaranteed Rate Field. Rice was outside in the 3800 block of South Wentworth Avenue when the shooting took place.

According to the police, three individuals approached Rice and opened fire around 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Rice was wounded in the side and was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene or ...
