On the morning of September 18, 2023, Al Bush, a 29-year-old man, was found shot to death in Jones Park on Argonne Drive in East St. Louis, Illinois. St. Clair County Coroner Calvin Dye Sr. pronounced him dead at the scene at 10:15 a.m. East St. Louis Police Chief Kendall Perry reported that officers received a homicide call at 9 a.m. At the time of his death, Bush was reported to be homeless.
