On January 9, 2024, at approximately 10:02 p.m., Downers Grove Police officers responded to a 911 call reporting an unknown problem at a residence in the 6400 block of Fairview Avenue in Downers Grove, Illinois. Upon arrival, officers encountered several witnesses who reported a man with a gun inside the home and heard a gunshot.
