Derane Wilson, a 53-year-old resident of Calumet City, Illinois, was fatally shot on February 23, 2024. The incident occurred at her home, where she was found in the living room with an apparent gunshot wound. The cause of death was determined to be a single gunshot wound to the chest, and the manner of death was ruled as homicide.
