On June 4, 2024, a 39-year-old man was fatally shot in Chicago's Jackson Park. The incident occurred around 2 p.m. in the 2000 block of East 67th Street. According to police reports, an assailant approached two men in the park, opened fire, and fled the scene. The 39-year-old victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
