On June 18, 2024, a tragic incident occurred at Licores El Potrillo, a liquor store located in the 2100 block of South Cicero Avenue in Cicero, Illinois. Sebastian Rodriguez, a 23-year-old employee, was fatally shot while attempting to prevent two males from stealing a bottle of liquor. The incident happened around 1:15 p.m. when the two suspects entered the store, took a bottle, and Rodriguez followed them to stop the theft.
