On June 29, 2024, Terrance D. Booker, a 17-year-old, was fatally shot in Cahokia Heights, Illinois. The incident occurred in the early morning hours, with officers responding to a call at approximately 5:19 AM in the 1300 block of Williams Street. Upon arrival, they found Terrance lying in the yard of a residence, having been shot multiple times. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Cahokia Heights Police Department requested assistance from the Major Case Squad to investigate Terrance's death. The investigation involved multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Monroe County Sheriff's Department, Wood River PD, and Caseyville PD. Sgt. Justin Biggs from the Monroe County Sheriff's Department, along with Det. Sgt. Aaron Burns from Wood River PD and Det. Sgt. Danny Allison from Caseyville PD, were part of the investigative team.
As a result of the investigation, Lamondre A. Wilson, aged 20, was charged with 1st Degree Murder in connection with Terrance Booker's death.
