On October 4, 2024, a fatal shooting occurred in the Fernwood neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois, resulting in the death of Marzelle C. Moore, a 35-year-old man. The incident took place in the 10600-block of South State Street just after 10:30 p.m..

At the time of the shooting, Moore was sitting in a parked vehicle with a female of an unknown age. A male approached them on foot and fired shots, striking Moore in the head. The Chicago Fire Department transported Moore to Christ Hospital, ...
