Arron Neal, a 24-year-old man from Chicago, was found dead in the south suburbs of Chicago on October 23, 2024. He had gone missing on Saturday, October 19, 2024, after leaving his grandmother's home in the West Englewood neighborhood. Surveillance video showed Neal getting into an unknown white SUV after departing his grandmother's house at 71st and Oakley.

They used his phone's "share my location" feature, which last indicated his presence in the Dixmoor area. Despite the police's efforts, including a search with helicopters and dogs on Monday, Neal's body was not found until his family made the discovery themselves on Wednesday afternoon. The body was located in a wooded area of the Dixmoor Playfield Park Region 9 in the south suburban Dixmoor.
The Cook County Medical Examiner ruled Neal's death a homicide, stating that he died from multiple gunshot wounds. Several shell casings were found near the scene on Thornton Road near Ashland Avenue, close to where his body was discovered.
Neal's phone was found by a fisherman in the Calumet River, miles away from where his body was located. This discovery was a significant break in the case, although it did not lead to the immediate location of his body.
Neal was described by his family as an aspiring rapper, popular, energetic, and very close to his family. He loved music and being creative. His family expressed deep sorrow and confusion over why anyone would harm him, given his positive and loving nature.
As of the current date, there are no reports of any arrests or suspects in connection with Arron Neal's murder. The case remains unsolved.
