Devon Nelson, a 31-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on August 22, 2020, in the Austin neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. He was found unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the head around 5 a.m. in the 100 block of North Mayfield Avenue. Despite being rushed to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
