On the evening of May 12, 2023, 35-year-old DeMarcus Bolton was fatally shot near a barbershop in Atlanta's Sylvan Hills neighborhood. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. in the 2000 block of Sylvan Road SW, a plaza housing several businesses, including a Chevron gas station and a Boost Mobile store.
