On August 20, 2014, William V. Sariol, a 55-year-old Miami resident, was found dead under circumstances that remain unclear, and the case is still unsolved. Sariol's death was classified as a homicide, and Miami-Dade Police launched an investigation into the incident, hoping to find those responsible. Despite the efforts of the Homicide Bureau, which includes specialized units such as the Cold Case Squad that focuses on unsolved murders, the case has not yet been solved.
