On June 27, 2023, Te'Vian Markez Williams, Sr., a 30-year-old man from Rome, Georgia, was fatally shot at the Callier Forest Apartment Complex, located on Dodd Boulevard in Rome. The incident occurred around 1:40 a.m. when Rome police officers responded to a report of a male subject who had been shot.
