On October 11, 2023, 30-year-old Eric Bernard Grimes Jr. was fatally shot in his residence on Stemson Way in Port Wentworth, Georgia. Authorities pronounced him dead at the scene at 2:36 p.m., noting he had suffered at least one gunshot wound. An autopsy was scheduled to further investigate the circumstances of his death.
