On January 30, 2024, Charles Ogletree, 64, was fatally shot during a dispute at his residence on Johnstonville Road in Barnesville, Georgia. Responding to a call around 8:10 a.m., Lamar County Sheriff's deputies arrived to find Charles Ogletree deceased at the scene. His son, 31-year-old Charkinta Ogletree, was taken into custody at the location.
